Our story
Our roots, our essence.
Our name comes from Quiriego, a municipality in southern Sonora and the place our founding family's roots come from. More than a name, it is a tribute to our origins, to the memories that shaped us and to a way of understanding life, cooking and hospitality.
Quiriego was born of the wish to preserve and share that heritage: to keep alive the recipes that gathered families around a table, the aromas of the wood-fired kitchen, fresh tortillas, salsas made to order and the fire that, for generations, has been an essential part of our culinary identity.
We believe the true richness of our cooking lies in respect for our ingredients, in the authenticity of our techniques and in the value of what is made by hand.

At Quiriego we honor the essence of Sonoran cooking and reinterpret it with a contemporary vision, without losing what makes it special.
Fire holds a central place in our kitchen. Embers, firewood, the aroma of mesquite and traditional cooking techniques let us rescue flavors that are part of our history.
Our cooking brings together carefully selected ingredients, high-quality proteins, fresh produce, traditional recipes and artisanal preparations that express the character of our land.
From a handmade tortilla to a cut cooked over the fire, every element has a purpose: to respect its origin, bring out its flavor and offer an authentic experience.

Our roots take us further
Our story began in Hermosillo, Sonora, where we brought to life a culinary concept inspired by our traditions and the cultural richness of northern Mexico.
In time, that same passion took us to Mexicali, Baja California, where we keep sharing our cooking and our way of understanding hospitality.
Today our story crosses borders and arrives in Scottsdale, Arizona, opening a new chapter on our journey.
